For clients preferring to retain their own IT platforms, OBS Logistics can design and provide tailor made Facilities Management services improving application and data support from our Data Centre in Runcorn. This gives the client a cost-effective solution to enable them to concentrate on their core business leaving the computer maintenance and support to OBS Logistics.

OBS Logistics offers these services from their purpose built data centre in the North West. Our service can be extended to provide resilience with the benefit of a dual site at our local office in Liverpool.

Security is a key issue within the managed facilities and our centre offers a complete 24 x 7 on-site service, any issues being quickly escalated for resolution. Our presence on the site is anonymous as an added level of security.

The site benefits from dual power supplies from different regions of the country, ensuring continuous source of electrical power to the centre. Fire suppressant and air conditioning systems are standard in any data centre and these are linked through to the 24-hour security centre. Additional geographical resilience is available from our Liverpool site via data links, enabling us to replicate and provide failover services in the event of any incident.

OBS Logistics is accredited to ISO 27001 standards in Information Security Management. Servers for out clients currently include IBM RS/6000, I-Series, HP Alpha and Linux.
