In2grate's Repair Management System supports a wide variety of features that support companies in the MRO industry sector. The management of the receipt, tear-down, inspection, and repair and overhaul activities for returns and customer-supplied items is provided.
The repair management functionality includes:
Tear-down Inspection Activity
The bill of material for the received item defines the components for a tear-down parts list. The item’s work-scope (user defined such as major or minor overhaul) identifies the routing operations for tear-down activities. Inspectors can record each component’s deficiencies, recommend repairs, and record serial numbers if applicable. The system calculates estimated repair costs based on needed repairs for each component. Using this information, inspectors can recommend action such as scrap the component, use as is or use after it has been repaired. Major subassemblies can be recommended for tear-down and rebuild.
Repair Activity
After a recommended action is approved the system creates a work-scope containing the components needed to be repaired, the repair operations, and the required materials. Due to unknowns resulting in the need to perform numerous tasks on a component, multiple routings for the same component are provided. The system uses unique work order functionality to report labour, material usage and receipts for repair activities.
"Whole Project Approach"
The project and contract approach to overhauling a complete product is supported by the Repair Management System. All activity including that from sub-contract work, flows to the project and contract level. Complete tracking of all costs on a real-time basis is provided. The objective of the “whole project” repair system is identical to that of component repair; to return to the customer a quality product within the time promised and, at the same time, make a profit for the services provided. |
